Terms of use

FixIt is a collection of file tools that run inside your web browser. For almost every tool, your file is read, changed and saved again on your own device: it is not uploaded to us, and we never hold a copy. The privacy page lists the few tools that are an exception, each of which asks before it sends anything.

Use it for any file you own or have permission to change. You may not use it to break the law, to infringe somebody else’s copyright, to remove a watermark or protection you have no right to remove, or to interfere with the service for other people. Because the work happens on your device, what you process is your responsibility.

You may run 5 operations a day at no charge, on files up to 25 MB. Beyond that the heavier tools and larger files run on credits, which you buy in advance.

• Credits are spent only when a run finishes and produces a file.
• Credits do not expire.
• Credits are attached to your account and cannot be transferred, resold, or exchanged for cash except as set out in the refund policy.
• A guest account lives in a cookie on one browser. Sign in if you want your credits to survive clearing your browser data or to follow you to another device.

The tools are provided as they are. They are tested, and the results of those tests are the reason the product describes its own limits so plainly — but no automatic conversion, transcription or detection is perfect. Check anything important before you rely on it, and keep your original file. We are not liable for loss arising from a result you did not check, and in any case our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months.

The site may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. Tools may be added, changed or withdrawn. If a change removes something you have paid for and cannot use as a result, the refund policy applies.

You may stop using FixIt at any time. We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms. If we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, unused credits are refunded.

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
